Stockholm 100 Metro Challenge 2026
STOCKHOLM 100 METRO CHALLENGE 2026
A DUAROK Project
100 stations. One city.
29–30 May 2026.
On 29–30 May 2026, we’ll take on a continuous run connecting all 100 Stockholm metro stations in one journey across the city.
Starting on Friday evening and finishing Saturday afternoon, the route follows the Stockholm metro network - through neighbourhoods, over bridges, underground, above ground - linking the entire system together on foot.
But this is more than a physical challenge.
It’s about movement.
It’s about connection.
It’s about giving people a simple way to be part of something bigger.
What It Is
The Stockholm 100 Metro Challenge is:
• One continuous run across all 100 metro stations
• Approximately 172km
• Following the metro lines in full
• Open to community participation
This is not a race.
There are no medals.
There is no entry fee.
It’s an invitation - to you.
You don’t need to run all 172km.
You can join for one station,
Five stations.
Or simply follow the journey online.
Whatever you feel happy with feel free to join in.
The 100-Day Countdown
From 17 February 2026, we begin the countdown.
For 100 days, we will post one station per day - following the exact order we’ll run them.
Each daily post will include:
Station name
Order number
Distance from start
A small amount of detail about that stop
Over time, the full route will take shape - station by station. To see a map of the proposed route visit this link.
The run is the culmination.
The journey begins long before.
Why We’re Doing It
We believe movement builds confidence and connection.
The Stockholm 100 Metro Challenge exists to encourage people to move more - in whatever way feels right for them.
Whether that means:
• Running a section
• Walking between two stations
• Cheering from the sidelines
• Following along each day
Every form of participation counts.
This is a DUAROK project, built around one simple message:
You are OK.
How To Get Involved
There are many ways to be part of it:
Run With Us
Join us for a section of the route. More details will be shared closer to the date. We'll be running at a relatively slow pace due to the length of the route.
Follow The Journey
Watch the 100-day countdown as we move station by station and follow live when the challenge takes place.
Support The Movement
Share posts. Invite friends. Explore your local station.
You don’t need to run the whole thing.
Just the next station.
The Route
The route follows the Stockholm metro network in full, connecting all 100 stations across the blue, red and green lines.
We will begin in central Stockholm at T-Centralen on the Friday night and move across the city during the night, finishing back at Slussen metro station on Saturday afternoon.
A more detailed route map and timing outline will be shared as the event approaches.
Partners & Community
We are inviting a small number of aligned partners to be part of the challenge.
If you are:
• A local business
• A running group
• A community organiser
• A food or drink provider
• A media outlet
• Or simply someone who believes in movement
We’d love to hear from you.
